| Profile | A person record in Full Fabric — student, staff, contact, or any other individual. |
| Role | A state::substate pair assigned to a profile within a context (e.g., student::enrolled). |
| Lifecycle | The institution-wide state machine defining all states, substates, and transitions. |
| Journey | A profile's progression through the ordered fluid states of the lifecycle. |
| Context | The entity a role belongs to — institution, class, or course. |
| Class | A cohort or intake (e.g., "MBA 2026"). Also called ClassOf internally. |
| Course | An individual academic course within a programme. |
| Schema | A dynamic field definition that extends entities with custom sections and fields. |
| Segment | A saved set of rules matching a group of profiles for targeting. |
| Applic | An application — the internal term for a student's application to a programme. |
| Evaluation | A review form completed by a reviewer assessing an application. |
| Campaign | A bulk email communication sent to a segment of profiles. |
| Automation | A triggered workflow that executes actions based on events and conditions. |
| Option Set | A reusable list of values shared across schema fields. |
| Feature | A named permission gating access to a specific action. |
| Module | A top-level capability group that can be enabled or disabled per institution. |
| Officer | The authorization component checking module enablement and feature access. |
| Data Access Scope | A filter restricting which programmes, classes, and courses a staff member can see. |
| Potential | A priority rating (unknown, low, medium, high) for lead scoring on roles. |
| Source | How a profile was created — staff, API, import, form, event, email, or signup. |
| Withdrawal | A flag on a role indicating the profile has left a context, with tracked reasons. |
| Addressable | Whether a profile can receive emails (not unsubscribed, bounced, spam, or forgotten). |
| Forgotten | A GDPR-compliant state where personal data is encrypted and anonymized. |
| Static Segment | A snapshot of matched profiles created when a campaign is dispatched. |
| Pinned Segment | A mandatory filter always applied with AND logic on top of other segments. |
| Schemable | The system that makes a model schema-aware, enabling custom fields. |
| Campus | A physical location or site within an institution. |
| Team | A staff grouping (e.g., "Admissions", "Financial Aid") for organisation and scoping. |
